Julian's Dream is to have a Heavenly Room with animals and rainbows!

"We are praying for a miracle and have not lost hope!"
Susan, Julian's Grandmother
Help us build an uplifting atmosphere for 13 year old Julian!

Julian has been diagnosed with x-linked adrenoleukodystrophy which prevents the body from breaking down very long chain fatty acids. This causes the VLCFA to clog up the adrenal glands & the protective myelin sheath surrounding the nerves. At this point Julians adrenal glands do not function and he is dependent on hydrocortisone & Fludrocortisone to survive. His brain is also impacted by the disease and it will progress throughout his central nervous system. X-Linked Adrenoleukodystrophy is a terminal disease.

We will be working with Julian and his family through all 5 senses. Researching foods that heal the adrenal gland and create delicious recipes with them, teach him yoga postures that will increase the function of the adrenal glands and turn him upside down to play and fill his life with joy! Julian loves listening to music so we play his favorite tunes and we will continue to stimulate his brain through different textures in his room. We will also fill the house with aromatheray that will reduce stress and give him "heavenly" thoughts.

Improving the quality of life for children who have been diagnosed with a life threatening disease through the creation of their DREAM Room in their own home!

Sweet Dreams Foundation's most pressing need:
Our future depends on building a Sweet Dreams Retreat. The Sweet Dreams Retreat will serve as an office for Sweet Dreams Foundation, provide a space for the sponsors to meet the children they are giving to and will also assist and foster existing children in the community. The retreat will offer activities including donation based yoga and cooking classes allowing children to learn and practice healthy living skills.
Description of services that Sweet Dreams Retreat would like to offer:
• Yoga Classes– Provide donation base Yoga to the children in the community and the families of Sweet Dreams Foundation so that they can learn to breath, focus, stretch, build strength and finally relax. Yoga will allow the parents of Sweet Dreams to relieve stress and take the time to take care of themselves so that they in turn take better care of their child and family. Yoga will be beneficial for the sick child in connecting mind, body and spirit
• Reiki– Provide Reiki to the families of Sweet Dreams Foundation to relieve stress, tension and increase natural energy flow. This will allow complete relaxation allowing the body to rejuvenate bringing it back to the natural state of which it is created.
• Expert Medical Panels- Have guest speakers: doctors, dieticians, councilors, etc speak about the different illness and importance of what a person eats, how they think and how they move.
• Kitchen- Provide cooking lessons for children and talk to them about the importance of eating healthy. Teach them how to cook, how to make garden burgers, smoothies and raw desserts.
